Terms of Service

AvastorX is a cloud backup, sync, and file-sharing service operated by Oyen Digital, a Minnesota, USA company. By creating an account or using AvastorX you agree to these terms.

Your account

You need an account with a valid email address to use AvastorX. You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for activity under your account. Some features — creating share links and file requests, and redeeming activation cards — require a verified email address. You can review the devices signed in to your account and sign any of them out at any time from Settings.

Storage capacity

• Storage capacity comes from your entitlements. Redeeming the activation card included with an Oyen Digital drive grants 1TB of storage free for one year from the date of redemption.
• Additional storage can be purchased in 500GB blocks at $4 per month per block, or $40 per year per block on annual billing. You can change or cancel your storage subscription at any time; annual billing is a prepaid year.
• When your stored data reaches your capacity, new uploads are refused until you free space or add storage. Existing files remain accessible.

Billing

Payments are processed by Stripe. We store no card numbers; you manage your payment method, invoices, and cancellation through the Stripe customer portal linked from the app. If a payment fails, parts of the service may be restricted until billing is brought current.

Your content

• Your files remain yours. We claim no ownership of anything you store, and your files are isolated to your account unless you choose to share them.
• You may only store and share content you have the right to store and share, and you may not use AvastorX for unlawful content or activity, to distribute malware, or to abuse the service's infrastructure or rate limits.
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

Sharing

Share links, galleries, and file requests are reachable by anyone who has the link and satisfies the protections you set (password, expiry, download limit). You are responsible for what you share and with whom; you can revoke any link instantly from the app.

Deletion, trash, and versions

Files you delete go to Trash and are permanently purged after your chosen retention period (10 or 30 days), or immediately if you empty the trash. Purged data cannot be recovered. File version history is kept by count (up to 10 versions per file, per your setting), and versions are deleted with their file. You can delete your account and its data from Settings. AvastorX is an off-site copy of your work — it does not remove your local files, and you should not treat any single copy, local or cloud, as your only one.

Desktop software

The AvastorX desktop apps for macOS and Windows are licensed, not sold, for use with the service. They are code-signed and update themselves automatically from our official release feed.

Service changes and availability

We work to keep AvastorX available and your data safe, but the service is provided "as is" and we do not promise uninterrupted availability. We may change or discontinue features; material changes to these terms will be posted on this page.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota, USA.
